At IGARD, we provide Cornea Health Assessment for all current and prospective contact lens wearers -- to check their eyes to make sure that beautiful healthy eyes is maintained whilst they wear their contacts. Cornea Health Assessment aims at identifying potential problems of your eye that relates to wearing contact lenses. This will allow health issues of the eye to be rectified before you get into trouble whilst you need to be wearing your contacts.  Cornea Health Assessment is included as part of your routine Standard Eye Examination if you need to get new contact lenses.         What is Cornea Health? If you wear contact lenses, you should get your eyes checked regularly. The cornea is the front surface of the eye that functions just like the windscreen of your car. It needs to be completely transparent such that you wouldn't even realise it's there. If the cornea turns cloudy, it can lose its transparency. This means that it will be difficult for your eyes to look through it properly and vision will not be sharp. This can happen when certain metabolic diseases develop that causes the cornea to swell up, or from injuries to the eye, infectious diseases and even nutritional deficiencies. Book an Eye Test
