What is Cornea Health?
If you wear contact lenses, you should get your eyes checked regularly.
The cornea is the front surface of the eye that functions just like the windscreen of your car. It needs to be completely transparent such that you wouldn't even realise it's there.
If the cornea turns cloudy, it can lose its transparency. This means that it will be difficult for your eyes to look through it properly and vision will not be sharp.
This can happen when certain metabolic diseases develop that causes the cornea to swell up, or from injuries to the eye, infectious diseases and even nutritional deficiencies.
